The New Mexico African American Performing Arts Center is the only one of its kind in the Southwestern Region devoted to support the arts, intellectual, cultural history of African Americans and the African Diaspora in New Mexico and the Southwest.
The African American Performing Arts Theatre is a modern 300-seat performance hall offering state-of-the art lighting and superior acoustics. Local productions, national touring shows and premier speaking engagements are held here. The theater serves as a place of community collaboration for artistic performers and an educational and cultural venue with the amenities of the Southwest.
