From February 1st to 24th, the walls of AAPAC will be adorned with the rich tapestry of "A History of Black Albuquerque" by Herb and Barbara Edmon, a visual journey that traces the roots and stories of the Black community in Albuquerque. A Display of Black Children's Books

Dive into the enchanting world of literature with 'A Display of Black Children's Books' from the collection of Laura Martin. Witness the power of storytelling and representation as these books echo the voices and experiences of Black children, fostering a sense of identity and pride.

The Permanent Collection

No Man Standing Premiere

Mark your calendar for February 16th as acclaimed filmmaker Babajide Orisayibi unveils the much-anticipated movie, 'No Man Standing,' a gripping narrative that explores untold stories and challenges faced by the Black community. Join the premiere from 6-10pm and be transported into a world where resilience and courage know no bounds.

Coro Lux

Feel the rhythmic beats and soul-stirring melodies on February 18th with the Coro Lux Concert from 4-6pm. Let the harmonious voices and melodies fill the air, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration.

Youth Jazz Concert

On February 21st, the CNM Main campus at 900 University Blvd SE will come alive with the Youth Jazz Concert at 4:30pm. Talented young musicians will take center stage, showcasing the beauty and innovation of jazz, a genre deeply rooted in African American history.

The Gospel Showcase

The grand finale arrives on February 23rd with the Gospel Showcase, a night of divine melodies and uplifting performances. From the soulful tunes of the Albuquerque Fellowship Choir to the spirited voices of God's House Church Choir and the powerful resonance of the New Mexico Mass Choir, this showcase from 6-8pm promises to be a jubilant celebration of faith and music.
